Combine:
1 cup oats 1/2 cup whole wheat flour 1/2 cup wheat germ 2 tsp. cinnamon
Mix together:
1/4 cup maple syrup
and 1/4 cup melted butter
or
1/4 cup brown sugar
and 1/2 cup melted butter (or oil)
stir wet into dry ingredients to moisten.
Set aside while you prepare the apples.
Peel and slice 5-6 apples into a buttered 9x9” baking dish. Sprinkle topping evenly over apples and pat gently. Bake @ 350 for 30-40 minutes or until apples are soft and topping is lightly browned.

adding sesame seeds to topping
